board, school, dreams

Once the JEE ADVANCED score is released you will be in a hurry finding your college, so here we are writing a pro tip for you so that you can select the best for you according to your score.

So, What Should You Check Before You Pick A College?

  • Placement Record – placement! It’s something every student looks for when he or she completes a course. Just look out for the placement record of the college, talk to the alumni, final year students and get to know about the companies that visit the campus, salary package they provide and placed student percentage. This will actually give you a clear idea about the placement history of that college.
  • Curriculum – The curriculum should be as per the industry demands & norms. And, it must be approved by a University. And in India almost most of the colleges have their curriculum of the 80s which are not according to the current industry demand.
  • Faculty – Besides curriculum, don’t forget to check the faculty who will be responsible to share knowledge of your interest. Go through their qualification, experience level and have a look at the student-teacher ratio.
  • Infrastructure –If you think ‘Infrastructure’ means a well-constructed building on a big campus, you are not right. Check if the college has modern pieces of equipment in laboratories, a good computer lab with proper systems, classrooms that can accommodate all students, recent journals & books in libraries and many more.
  •  Reputation of The College – The college should be accredited by NBA or NAAC, as these are quality indicators in Academic delivery Standard.

OPTIONS OTHER THAN IITs

There are numerous institutes such as the IIITs, NITs and BITS Pilani along with a number of private and deemed universities that are renowned for delivering first-class engineering education. Apart from that, there are also a number of private and public sector colleges that have carved a niche for themselves. Hence, you should not lose all hope and see it as a chance to turn the tide.
