1. AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical sciences), Patna: It’s one of the prestigious medical colleges in India ranking in the top 10. Since due to recent amendments there is no separate exam to get into AIIMS. AIIMS is also now accepting NEET scores. You need at least 600 plus to be a candidate for the mentioned government medical college.
2.PATNA MEDICAL COLLEGE, Patna: Patna Medical College and Hospital was established in 1925 and was originally known as Prince of Wales Medical College. The Institute gives admission on the basis of NEET marks and the cutoff is usually high. Thus keep the level of competition in your mind while preparing.
3 .INDIRA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, Patna: It has 120 recognised MBBS seats and the highest number of superspeciality seats among the colleges of Bihar. It is recognised to provide degrees of MBBS, MD, MS, M.Ch, DM, DNB, Ph.D and various paramedical degrees.
4. DARBHANGA Medical college, Darbhanga: This medical college is also in top 10 ones of Bihar and accepts NEET scores, providing courses for undergraduate as well as postgraduate in the field of medicine
5 .JAWAHARLAL NEHRU MEDICAL COLLEGE, Bhagalpur: It’s one of the prestigious government colleges in the district of BHAGALPUR in Bihar, established in 1971. One hundred students enroll in the MBBS course each year.15 seats are filled through All India Quota of NEET(UG) and the remaining 70 seats are filled through the state Quota of NEET (UG)
6.NALANDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, Patna: It is recognized by the Medical Council of India. It offers undergraduate courses MBBS as well as post-graduate courses in medicine, surgery, gynaecology, anaesthesiology, pediatrics. At present 150 students can enroll in the college via clearing the NEET.
7.GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE, Bettiah: This college opened in 2013 and it’s one of the top known medical colleges in bihar. It is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University. You can get admission in the college via securing good rank in NEET.
8. VARDHMAN INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, Pavapuri: The college was established in 2013 and is well-known for it’s well developed infrastructure and teaching faculties. The college accepts the marks obtained in NEET. Nalanda district of the Indian state of Bihar. It is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University
9.ANUGRAH NARAYAN MAGADH MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, Gaya: Currently composed of 18 departments, this college is a government run medical institution and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). It’s one of the earliest set up medical college in bihar and is well known for its academics.
10.SHRI KRISHNA MEDICAL COLLEGE, Muzaffarpur:The current capacity of MBBS seats in SKMCH is 120. The college was established in 1970 and from that time ran smoothly.

•ADMISSION VIA:
Admissions in medical courses will be provided on the basis of the NEET exam. NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) for admissions in MBBS & BDS courses across the country. Seats in the MBBS or BDS courses will be offered on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the NEET exam
•Eligibility criteria:
Given below criteria are required to sit in the NEET exam in order to get admission in the colleges:
Candidate should be a citizen of India.
OCI, PIO, NRI and Foreign Nationals candidates are also eligible to apply.
The minimum age to apply should be 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
The maximum age is 25 years and 30 years for SC/ST candidates.
Candidates should pass the Intermediate or its equivalent examination with PCB and English subject from any recognized board.
Candidates studying in 12th class can also apply.
The candidate should obtain 50% minimum marks (40% for reserve category candidates) and 45% for PH candidates in the qualifying exam.
