Each year lakhs of students appear in the JEE main exam but only a few of them get a chance to appear for the JEE advanced exam. And if we consider JEE main 2022 then you will find that a total of 10 lakh 26 thousand and 799 students had registered for the exam and out of which 9 lakh 5 thousand and 590 people appeared in both the sessions of the exam. We know that JEE main 2022 was held in two attempts. For every aspirant, the best score out of both sessions will be considered for the final merit list. So as per that list, only 2 lakh and 50 thousand people will be eligible to appear for the JEE advanced exam. If two aspirants score the same rank then this number may vary and go a little up from 2.5 lakh. That means even more than 2.5 lakh students can appear but it will happen only if some students secure the same rank. So, we can say that in the merit list first 2,50,000 students will be eligible for the JEE advanced 2022 exam.
