JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) has increased their seats for the 2022 batch,
The total number of students appearing in JEE advanced was 1,56,089.
Earlier, seats were 16232, which is 366 seats, which has increased more than last year,
There were 16,598 seats out of 23 IITs, in which 15,031 seats were in the general neutral pool and 1,567 seats were increased for female supernumeraries. The seat matrix is divided as per the categories- General,OBC,ST, and EWS are available.
JoSAA Mock Allotment 2022
According to JOSAA, to get admission to NITs, IITs, GFTIs and IIT, the candidate should overcome the cut-off and should score a good rank in JEE main/Advance. Hence, during the counselling process, two rounds of mock allotment are done so that the candidate can make correct choices for the seat allotment. After that, 6 rounds will be held. The round 1 result was declared on 23 September 2022 at 10 am through online mode. The candidate can check with the help of their application number and password.
