What is CUET?
Common University Entrance Test which is a computerized test for 45 Central Universities conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency)
CUET is still a confusion for many students. Many of the universities are providing the updates and have many changes in it. Another important update regarding this exam is that if a student is opting for a Domain-Specific subject i.e, (according to the revised CUET Exam Pattern, there are a total of 27 Domain-Specific subjects. The candidate has to choose a maximum of 6 subjects from those 27 subjects) so according to it, the students of BA LLB and B.COM stream has to give 3 test which is Language test, General test and Domain-Specific test, apart from it students of B.Sc and B.A streams have to give 4 tests which are Language test, General Test and 2 Domain-Specific tests.
Why CUET?
In Delhi University there is a cutoff of 100% or more than 99% marks, other boards has its own criteria to examine the paper, suppose there is a CBSE Board student who has acquired 99% in 12th board and on the other hand U.P. or Bihar board student acquired 95%, so the difference of 4% has a major gap in it, although the student who acquire 99% will easily get admission in Central Universities as compare to 95% acquiring student.
So to finish this gap, NTA came up with a new idea of an entrancexxz exam that is CUET and on this basis students can score marks and check their knowledge ability, this concept will bring equality among all the board students.
Candidates should keep the following list of documents ready for the CUET 2022 application process.
— Class 10 and 12 marksheet
— Scanned passport size photograph
— Scanned image of the signature
— ID Proof (Aadhar card, driving license, passport etc)
— Caste certificate (if applicable)
Mode of exam
CUET 2022 will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. It will be held in held in 13 languages — namely Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu. Additionally, a candidate can also pick from 19 other languages such as French, German, Japanese, Russian, Bodo, Santhali and many more.
