Eligibility Criteria

Along with the scores of the accepted entrance examinations, the candidates must satisfy some eligibility norms as given below-

  • For pursuing BTech course, one must pass Class 12 in science stream. The student must have Mathematics and Physics as the subjects in Class 12. Along with this, one of the optional subjects must be from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or any other Technical Vocational Subject.
  • In addition, candidates must score at least 50% of marks in Class 12 to be eligible for BTech admission. However, students belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ ST may have the relaxation of up to 5% in the minimum qualifying marks. This information may differ on exam-to-exam basis.
  • The minimum age limit to get admitted to an engineering college is 17 years. Whereas, the upper age limit is 25 years.

Counselling process for the admission-

After a candidate gets qualified for a seat in an engineering college on the basis of their score, they are then called for counselling process and seat allotment. Here are some insights and list of documents that are necessary for such counselling processes. However, it is advised for the candidates to refer to the counselling notice from the governing body before the counselling day.

The list of important documents that a candidate must carry during counselling process for admission are mentioned below.

  • Allotment letter- The candidate should have a hard-copy of the course allotment letter while reporting.
  • Admit card- It is necessary to have the JEE Main or any other respective exam’s admit card through which you are eligible to apply.
  • Fitness certificate, duly approved by a registered medical practitioner.
  • Marksheet of 11th as well as 12th std, original along with an attested copy.
  • Birth certificate
  • Identity proof
  • Demand draft of the informed to-be-paid amount.

The candidate must also carry any kind of reservation certificate if they have applied through it. The list might change as per the requirement of the college.
