NEET UG 2024 Application Form

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Candidates must be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), or Non-Resident Indians (NRI).
  2. Minimum age limit: 17 years as of December 31, 2024.
  3. Educational qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects.
  4. Minimum marks required: General category – 50%, OBC/SC/ST – 40%, and PwD – 45%.

Application Process:

The NEET UG 2024 application form will be available online on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  1. Candidates need to register themselves on the NTA website and create an account.
  2. Fill in the application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
  3. Upload scanned copies of required documents, including a photograph, signature, identity proof, and educational certificates.
  4. Pay the application fee through online payment modes.

Application Fee:

  1. General category: INR 1600
  2. OBC/SC/ST: INR 800
  3. PwD: INR 500

Exam Pattern:

  1. The NEET UG 2024 exam will be conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode.
  2. There will be three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
  3. Each section will have 50 questions, totaling 150 questions.
  4. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Exam Dates:

The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on May 7, 2024.

Results and Counselling:

    1. The results of the exam will be declared online on the NTA website.
    2. Qualified candidates will be eligible for counselling for admission to medical and dental colleges across India.
    3. Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for government colleges and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for private colleges.
