JEE Mains Exam 2024 Result declared on JEE Main Website

Executive Summary

The JEE Mains result for 2024 has been declared on the official JEE Main website. The exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 24, 25, 29, 30, and 31, 2024. A total of 9.36 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, of which 2.31 lakh candidates have qualified. The top 2.5 lakh candidates based on their performance in JEE Mains will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

Introduction

The JEE Mains exam is one of the most competitive exams in India. It is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the JEE Mains exam in hopes of securing admission to these prestigious institutes. The exam is divided into two papers: Paper 1 is for admission to B.E./B.Tech programs, while Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch programs.

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Pattern

The JEE Mains 2024 exam pattern was similar to that of the previous year. The exam consisted of 30 MCQs from Physics, 30 MCQs from Chemistry, and 30 MCQs from Mathematics. The total marks for the exam were 360.

JEE Mains 2024 Cut Off

The JEE Mains 2024 cut off was released along with the result. The cut off for the general category was 89.7 percentile, while the cut off for the OBC category was 88.0 percentile. The cut off for the SC category was 83.0 percentile, while the cut off for the ST category was 80.0 percentile.

JEE Mains 2024 Toppers

The JEE Mains 2024 topper was Saksham Aghihotri from Delhi. He scored a perfect 100 percentile in the exam. Among other category, Prateek Jain secured All India Rank 1 in OBC category and bagged 99.996 percentile. While Sahil Khandelwal secured All India Rank 1 in SC category and bagged 99.96 percentile. Not only this, Naveen Jangir secured All India Rank 1 in ST category with 99.92 percentile.
