To retain things for a long time in Biology, education and hard work are the most important tools. In the NEET exam, Biology is divided into two subjects i.e., Botany and Zoology. In Zoology, we get to read about animals and human beings while in Botany, we study plants. For Biology, we advise you to read the NCERTs line by line and memorize all the examples, flow charts, and diagrams. This will surely help you to score decent marks.

Make a separate notebook in which you can note down all the examples and flow charts. Make sure to revise this notebook on daily basis. Highlight all the important diagrams in NCERT books. You can refer to NCERT FINGERTIPS. Best book to score good marks in Biology paper and it is based on NCERT.

Biology always gives preference to high weightage chapters like human physiology( digestion and absorption, respiration in human beings, neural control and coordination, cardiovascular system, human hormone), plant physiology ( transportation in a flowering plant, photosynthesis in a plant, respiration in plants, the hormonal balance in plants.) kranz anatomy, glycolysis, Krebs cycle, nitrogen cycle, mineral deficiency, sexual reproduction in a flowering plant, genetics, evolution, gametogenesis in plants, gametogenesis in humans, ecology, human health and diseases, microbes in human welfare, plant kingdom, human reproduction, biological classification( monera, protista, algae). For some chapters, you can refer to other books as well.  Like, for genetics and evolution, you can refer to Trueman. Both these chapters carry high weightage. In the NEET Exam, questions are sometimes from out of the syllabus for chapters like evolution, principle basis of inheritance and molecular basis of inheritance, biotechnology, and ECOLOGY ( nowadays 5–7 questions come from this section in the exam). Read the floral chapters very carefully. Write about the floral family, order, and class separately. It will help you to learn easily.

Join the mock test series. It will give you an idea about the current level of preparation and it will also boost your confidence. Solve the previous year’s NEET question paper also. It will make you more familiar with the NEET exam.

Both mock tests and previous year’s questions help you to increase your marks. Always highlight your incorrect question and then revise those topics. Make it a habit to revise your notes while solving questions. Make your weak points strong and strong points stronger. Take a small 10 minutes break between your study slots. Eat healthy food and do proper exercise. It will keep you stress-free.
