The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially unveiled the datesheet for the Class 10 and 12 board exams for the year 2024. The detailed exam schedule is soon to be available on the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.

Class 12 Exam Schedule:

The Class 12 board exams are scheduled to take place from February 15 to April 2. Notably, the board has strategically arranged the exams to provide ample time between subjects. The examination dates have been carefully chosen, considering factors such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to ensure minimal overlap.

Here are some key dates and subjects for Class 12:

  • February 19: Hindi
  • February 22: English
  • February 27: Chemistry
  • February 29: Geography
  • March 4: Physics
  • March 9: Mathematics
  • March 12: Physical Education
  • March 15: Psychology
  • March 18: Economics
  • March 19: Biology
  • March 22: Political Science
  • March 23: Accountancy
  • March 27: Business Studies
  • March 28: History
  • April 2: Information Technology

Class 10 Exam Schedule:

For Class 10, the exams will be conducted from February 15 to March 13. The board has made efforts to avoid clashes between different subject exams, considering more than 40,000 subject combinations. Here are some key dates and subjects for Class 10:

  • February 19: Sanskrit
  • February 21: Hindi
  • February 26: English
  • March 2: Science
  • March 4: Home Science
  • March 7: Social Science
  • March 11: Mathematics
  • March 13: Information Technology

Important Information:

  • Both Class 10 and 12 exams will have two shifts, one from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and the other from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
  • CBSE has declared that for the 2024 exams, no overall division, distinction, or aggregate will be awarded. The percentage of marks will not be calculated, declared, or informed by the board.
  • Candidates taking more than five subjects will have the decision on the best five subjects determined by admitting institutes or employers recruiting CBSE board students.
