The moment for which the students of class 12th were eagerly waiting for is here! CBSE (Central board for secondary education) released the class 12th results on 22nd July, 2022.  2,98,395 students appeared for the class 12 examination this year and out of which 2,87,326 students cleared the exam. Meaning, that this year, CBSE achieved a passing percentage of 92.71%. As a matter of fact, girls pass percentage stood at 94.54% while the boys achieved a pass percentage of 91.25%. With a total pass percentage of 98.83%, Trivandrum emerged as the best performing region. Approximately 1.34 lakh students scored 90% or higher.

This year, CBSE had divided the exam into 2 terms, 50% syllabus in each term. The consolidated result has been released by the CBSE Board. The students who couldn’t clear the 33% criteria will be eligible to sit for the class 12 compartment exams that will begin on August 23, 2022. As always, various exam centers will be allotted across the country.

To calculate the percentage, use this formula:

For example, you get A, B, C, F, and E marks in the 5 subjects.

  • To calculate CGPA:

CGPA : (A+B+C+D+E)/5

  • To calculate the percentage:

Percentage = CGPA x 9.5

Students must note that in order to calculate the Best of 4, they should include English or any one language. And in the above formulw, use 4 instead of 5 to get the desired percentage.
