CBSE Passing Marks of class 10th and 12th 2023: The passing marks of CBSE class 10th and 12th boards have been announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The CBSE passing marks are the minimum marks that the students need to obtain in order to pass the CBSE class 10th and 12th boards and this will be applicable to all students appearing for the exams this year.

CBSE Passing Marks for class 10 and 12th board: what is it?

For class 10th students, the passing marks criteria for all subjects have been increased from 33% to 35%. This means that a student must score at least 35 out of 100 marks in each subject to clear the board exams. The passing marks criteria for internal assessment and practical exams remain unchanged, i.e. 20 marks out of 40.

For class 12th students, the passing marks criteria have been set at 33% for all subjects except for the elective subjects. For elective subjects, the passing marks criteria have been increased from 33% to 35%. This means that students must score at least 35 out of 100 marks in each elective subject to clear the board exams. However, for the core subjects, a student must score at least 33 out of 100 marks to clear the exams.

It is important to note that the passing marks criteria are only applicable to theory papers. The practical exams and internal assessments carry a different weightage and are evaluated separately. The passing marks criteria for the practical exams and internal assessments remain unchanged, i.e. 40% of the total marks.

The CBSE board exams are considered to be one of the most important exams for students, as they lay the foundation for their future careers. The passing marks criteria set by CBSE are meant to ensure that students have a basic understanding of the subjects and are able to clear the exams without facing any difficulties.

However, it is important for students to aim for higher marks and not just the minimum passing marks. A higher score will not only boost their confidence but also help them secure admission to a better college or university. Moreover, a higher score will also reflect positively on their resume and increase their chances of getting a better job in the future.

In conclusion, the CBSE passing marks criteria for class 10th and 12th students appearing for their board exams in 2023 have been set at 35% and 33% respectively. The passing marks criteria is an important aspect as it determines the minimum score required by a student to clear the board exams. However, students should aim for higher marks and not just the minimum passing marks.

Good luck to all the students appearing for the CBSE board exams in 2023!
