Chhattisgarh is one of the largest states with quite a high number of medical colleges accepting NEET scores. Below mentioned are some of the top medical colleges in Chhattisgarh. 

1.AIIMS Raipur – All India Institute of Medical Sciences :  It is one of the six AIIMS healthcare established in 2012, and it operates autonomously under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna. AIIMS Raipur is located on GE Road, near the Tatibandh Gurudwara in Raipur. AIIMS Raipur is spread over an area of 103.63 acres. 100 students are admitted to the course each year. Currently, departments for all postgraduate subjects are functional. It’s one of the prestigious colleges in India which requires your consistent hard work to secure a seat in the college.

2.Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur : It’s ranked 57 among other Indian medical colleges.  It was founded on 9 September 1963, and recognised by the Medical Council of India in 1969. The college is one of the oldest institutions in the state of Chhattisgarh. The college provides 180 MBBS seats each year along with 130 postgraduate seats every year. 

3.Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Science, Bhilai

4.CCM Medical College, Durg: Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, also known as CCM Medical College is a Government medical school located in Durg, Chhattisgarh, India. Established in 2013 and provides 150 MBBS seats each year. 

5.Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur: Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences is a medical college located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. Established in 2001. Its yearly intake is 33 students for MD/MS and 180 for MBBS.

•ADMISSION VIA:

Admissions in medical courses will be provided on the basis of the NEET exam. NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) for admissions in MBBS & BDS courses across the country. Seats in the MBBS or BDS courses will be offered on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the NEET exam.

•Eligibility criteria:

Given below criterias are required to sit in the NEET exam in order to get admission in the colleges:

Candidate should be a citizen of India.

OCI, PIO, NRI and Foreign Nationals candidates are also eligible to apply.

The minimum age to apply should be 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.

The maximum age is 25 years and 30 years for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates should pass the Intermediate or its equivalent examination with PCB and English subject from any recognized board.

Candidates studying in 12th class can also apply.

The candidate should obtain 50% minimum marks (40% for reserve category candidates) and 45% for PH candidates in the qualifying exam.
