Registration for NEET UG 2023 has reopened today. Here’s a guide on how to apply.

NEET (UG) 2023 is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical programs in various medical institutions across India. It serves as a common and uniform entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS courses. The exam is conducted in Pen and Paper mode and will be held on May 7th, 2023. The NEET score is also used to shortlist candidates for selection to the four-year BSc Nursing course in Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals. NEET will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Malayalam.


The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the reopening of the NEET UG 2023 registration window from April 11 to April 13, 2023, for candidates who missed their initial chance to register. Interested candidates can submit their applications on the official website neet.nta.nic.in, and the application fee must be paid before 11.59 PM.

“This opportunity is being provided for all those candidates who could not complete their Registration earlier as well as for those candidates who want to apply as fresh candidates for the NEET (UG) – 2023,” NTA added.

NEET UG Exam 2023, which is scheduled for May 7, 2023, from 2 PM to 5 PM, will be conducted in pen and paper mode throughout the country, as well as cities outside India. It will serve as a common and uniform entrance exam for undergraduate medical education in various medical institutions across India.

1. How to apply for NEET UG registration?

  • Visit the official website of NEET (UG) at neet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the “Fill Application Form” button.
  • Upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents, such as a photograph, signature, and other supporting documents
  • Pay the application fee online using the available payment methods
  • Preview the application form and check for any errors or discrepancies.
  • Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
  • 2.The eligibility criteria for NEET (UG) 2023 are as follows:

  • Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2023. The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years (relaxable by 5 years for reserved categories).
  • Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign nationals are eligible to apply for NEET (UG) 2023.
  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed or will be completing their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects. The minimum aggregate marks required in PCB for general category candidates is 50%, while it is 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Number of Attempts: No limit.

    3.The NEET UG 2023 admit card will be released online in the 4th week of April 2023.

    4. Candidates must carry the admit card to the examination hall along with a photograph.

    5. The provisional answer key will be released by the NTA followed by the final answer key in the third week of May 2023.

    6. Candidates can challenge the answer key by paying a processing fee of Rs 1000 per question.

    7. NEET UG 2023 results will be announced online in the 1st week of June 2023.

    8. The NEET score will be used for admission to 15% All India Quota seats, 85% state quota medical seats, and private colleges.

    9. There will be a reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC, and PWD categories in government and private medical colleges.

    10. The expected NEET 2023 cut off is around 640-650 marks for general category candidates.

    11. The NEET 2023 cut off will be released after the declaration of result and will depend on various factors such as marks scored, difficulty level of exam, rank, and seat availability.
