NEET UG 2021: Exam guidelines by NTA

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be conducted on 12th September, 2021 by National Testing Agency for all the medical aspirants who have registered for the exam. The admit card for the same will be released on 9th September, 2021 under which detailed instructions for the exam will be mentioned along with the exam timings, center etc. It will also contain Covid related guidelines and the measures that students need to take on the exam day. 

NEET UG 2021 is going to be held at different centers in 202 cities in India and other foreign countries. The exam will be held on 12th September 2021 from 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm, in a pen and paper or offline mode. As per the public notice by NTA, Candidates are required to download the Intimation Slip of their NEET UG 2021 Examination City and also check the instructions on how to fill the OMR Answer Sheet. 

Examination City Intimation Slip for NEET UG 2021

The examination city intimation slip is provided at the official website of NTA NEET UG 2021 so that students can know about their examination city beforehand and prepare accordingly. The intimation slip can be downloaded from the official website of NTA. Students need to visit the website and then click on “View Advance Information on Allotment of Centre City” which will redirect you to the login page of the Intimation Slip. Here, you can login by providing the registered candidates Application number and date of birth along with the security pin which will be provided on the website. 

Students need to note that this is not the official admit card but the advance information to help students in planning for their exam day. The detailed instructions for the exam day will be provided with the release of admit card on 9th September, 2021. 

How to fill the OMR Answer Sheet of NEET UG 2021

  1. Candidates are advised to only provide the information which is asked and avoid any kind of scratch or tampering the sheet. As the software checking the OMR Sheet is sensitive, this might result in losing marks for the candidate.
  2. Avoid writing anything extra like the symbols of marks on the sheet and only mention the required information like the candidate’s roll number or test booklet number or booklet code in the asked format. If any error occurs in the important instruction in the OMR sheet, it can even be rejected by the software. 
  3. Candidates need to note that in case of any discrepancy for any language, the English version will be considered as the final.
  4. Fill in only one answer which is most appropriate for each question as multiple answers might cost you negative marks.
