National Entrance cum Eligibility Test is conducted by NTA, i.e. National Testing Agency, every year for entrance to medical college. The question paper is prepared based on the syllabus prescribed by the Medical Council of India. The exam is a gateway to entering the prestigious medical colleges of the country. The students qualifying for the NEET exam are eligible for counseling to get admission into MBBS/B.D.S. courses offered by various medical colleges in the country. NEET 2020 EXAM PATTERN:
- The question paper comprises 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- The distribution of questions in NEET 2020 was as follows:

- All the questions are multiple-choice questions with only one correct answer.
- Aspirants would be awarded +4 for every correct answer and a penalty of -1 for every incorrect answer.
- Marking more than one option would be considered an incorrect answer.
- The duration of the exam is three hours
- The minimum eligible score for the entrance of MBBS is 50 percentile for general category, 45 percentile for physically handicapped general candidates, and 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.
- The question paper of NEET will be available in English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Urdu, and Oriya languages.
Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can do so by registering themselves on the official website of NEET 2021 once the registration process commences, the date of which is expected to be announced shortly.
