The National Testing Agency successfully completed both the shifts of Day 3 exam for JEE Main on Sunday, 25.07.2021. JEE Main July 25 exam was conducted in 2 shifts and was concluded at 6:00 pm on Sunday. The analysis for question paper of both the shifts will be presented to you in this article. With this analysis our aim is to provide you an idea of the difficulty level of exam, topic wise weightage subjects and several other factors.

Analysis for Shift 1: July 25, Day 3 of Session 3

The paper was almost balanced covering all the topics from each subject. The paper was time taking as most of the mathematics questions were considered lengthy. The subject wise comparison of difficulty level ranking would be Maths being most difficult to chemistry being the least, whereas physics being moderate. Subject wise analysis for the exam is given below.

Mathematics: If we look at the difficulty level of individuals, Mathematics was moderate to difficult as the questions were found to be lengthy. The higher weightage was given to questions from Conic Section and Probability. A few candidates found the paper to be difficult.

Physics: Physics questions were moderate to easy and were mostly based on the calculations, some of them being lengthy. The chapters carrying most of the questions were Kinematics, Current Electricity, Laws of Motion, Fluid, Optics, Electrostatics, and AC Circuit. Questions from Communication systems and Modern Physics were also asked.

Chemistry: Questions from chemistry were in the range of easy to moderate. With Physical Chemistry being easier, lesser number of questions were asked from this topic. Maximum number of questions were asked from Organic Chemistry. Questions from Inorganic Chemistry were mostly from NCERT with difficulty level being moderate.

Overall, the exam was quite balanced being calculative and lengthy but also easier.

Analysis for Shift 2: July 22, Day 2 of Session 3

The shift 2 of Day 3 was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Mathematics was found to be easier in comparison to the previous shifts. Similar to the previous shifts, if we compare the difficulty level subject wise, it would be Mathematic at first followed by Chemistry which is followed by Physics. Students found the exam to be on the easy to moderate side.

Mathematics: The difficulty level was easy to moderate but the solutions were lengthy. The exam was easier in comparison to the previous shifts. Questions were mostly asked from coordinate, integral calculus. With integer questions being calculative, it became time taking.

Physics: The paper is considered easier covering all the major topics like electrostatics, Current Electricity, Kinematics, Ray Optics and Magnetic being of higher weightage. Majority of the questions from these chapters. The other chapters were also included in balanced proportion. A good amount of numerical were asked which were mostly formula based.

Chemistry: The section was easiest in comparison to the others. The questions were majorly based on the NCERT textbook. Majority of the numerical questions were asked from physical chemistry and about 2 of them were from organic chemistry. There was a balance among the questions from Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. If one is well prepared with NCERT, he/she must flair in the exam.
