NEET exam is considered one of the toughest exams in India. Every year 15 – 16 lakh students appear for this exam and only 60k- 70k students make it to the list. To score good marks in the NEET exam or any competitive exam, one should have a proper strategy. In Today’s blog, we will discuss how to strategically read biology, chemistry, and physics.

To score good marks in biology, read NCERT line by line and memorize all the examples, flow charts, and diagrams.

  • Make a separate notebook to note down all the examples and flow charts, and revise this notebook daily.
  • Always gives preference to high weightage chapters like human physiology (digestion and absorption, respiration in human beings, neural control and coordination, cardiovascular system, human hormone), plant physiology ( transportation in a flowering plant, photosynthesis in the plant, respiration in plants, the hormonal balance in plants.), sexual reproduction in a flowering plant, genetics, evolution, ecology, human health and diseases, microbes in human welfare, plant kingdom, human reproduction.
  • For some chapters refer to some other books. For genetics and evolution, you can refer to Trueman. Both these chapters carry high weightage in NEET. In the NEET exam questions are sometimes out of the syllabus. Usually, from chapters like evolution, principle basis of inheritance and molecular basis of inheritance, biotechnology, and ECOLOGY (nowadays 5–7 questions come from this section).
  • Read the floral chapters very carefully. Write the floral family, order, and class separately. It will help you to learn easily.

In chemistry, divide the syllabus into three sections i.e., physical, inorganic, and organic. In inorganic chemistry just stick with the NCERTs and read them multiple times. Highlight the key points in the book and the periodic table should be on your tips.

In organic chemistry, understand the organic reactions from NCERT. You should know about the strength of carbonation, electrophile, and nucleophile. You can refer to OP TANDON. It will help you in making your concepts as clear as crystal.

In physical chemistry, glimpse through NCERT first and then memorize all the formulas of important topics. Formulas should be on your tips. Solve NCERT back exercises and examples.

Physics is always considered as the toughest subject by NEET aspirants. To score good marks in physics, read your class notes, understand the concepts well, and memorize the formulas well. You can refer to DC PANDEY and HC VERMA for physics. It will help you with your basics.

  • Solve previous year’s question papers for both physics and chemistry. Join a mock test series and give the tests seriously. Analyze your mistakes and make your weak points strong and strong points stronger.
