NEET chemistry syllabus is divided into three sections, Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry. The question paper of chemistry for NEET 2022 comprises 45 questions (180 marks). Amongst physics and biology, chemistry is the most scoring. The total number of chapters in NEET chemistry is 29.

If one is aiming at securing a government seat, it is imperative to score above 600 marks. To score that, cracking NEET chemistry is inevitable as it is said to be the least complicated section consuming the least time if prepared well. To score more than 150 score in NEET Chemistry, you need to follow a right approach and strategy. Chemistry in NEET requires reading theory, understanding things and practicing problem.

Here are the tips to score more than 150 in NEET Chemistry:

Maintain a Timetable and Follow It- The first and foremost thing is that you need to do is write down a schedule and place it near your study table. If you have a timetable, then the time for all your subjects would be distributed in an equal manner. Only making a timetable just for the name would not work at all. You need to follow that in a strict way.

Get Your Concepts Clear– When you are studying something, then the concept regarding that should be clear enough so that it is easier for you to learn. Physical chemistry is a subject that deals with all practical applications and concepts, as well as numerical. Hence if you have any unclear concepts, clear it at once. Organic Chemistry, on the other hand, deals with reactions, stability of structure etc. Hence your idea regarding this should also be evident.

Do Not Leave any Topic Incomplete- The big mistake that every student makes is that they jump from one topic to another. Well, this is the biggest blunder. Study in a serial manner so that you do not miss any important topics covered in the different chapters.

Important Things To Avoid While Preparing for NEET 2022 Chemistry
Avoid learning NEET Chemistry from multiple sources- A lot of study material will only make an aspirant confused, therefore, just one coaching material and books mentioned above will be enough for the preparation. Don’t set limitations to the theory part: In order to make a steady hand in the study for NEET Chemistry 2022, aspirants must practise as many questions as they can. Don’t slip into previous years’ questions- Previous years question papers will give a fair idea of what you can expect in the NEET 2022 chemistry question paper.

For organic chemistry
Organic Chemistry is one of the most important and scoring subjects in NEET. But, most of the students find it hard to study organic chemistry.

Focus on understanding the concepts

Start from the basics
11th and 12th standard NCERT books are extremely important for your NEET preparation. Make sure you have gone through these books thoroughly before referring to other books.

Practise reactions
Understand the mechanism behind every reaction and try to write it down in your words. Practise the reaction every day to get a hold of it. Maintain a separate notebook for only the formulas and reactions.

For physical chemistry
There will be 15-20 questions on Physical Chemistry, most of which can be numerical based. Questions in this section are mainly dominated by four topics; chemical and ionic equilibrium, redox, liquid solutions and electrochemistry

For inorganic chemistry
Inorganic chemistry is mostly factual rather than conceptual and the easiest and scoring part of the NEET exam. For Inorganic Chemistry the question asked in NEET is mostly repetitive and hence understanding the trends and practising previous year question papers will help you score full marks in the Inorganic part.
Stick with NCERT for inorganic NCERT.
